Professor Baker has been an outspoken opponent of school choice measures and programs for years. He stirred controversy in 2011 when he was exposed for seemingly offering to conduct research that would produce any desired outcome in exchange for money. That same year, he published a blog post wherein he admitted that he sends his own children to private schools.
